This acrylic on double gessoed watercolour paper is framed and under glass. I love whales and this painting reminds me of how majestic and free they are in life. One of my most exciting outings was a whale tour in the Bay of Fundy where the smallish but safe boat was surrounded by about a dozen curious and friendly Right Whales. I was breathless when one sided right up next to the boat and with one eye it looked at us with the most intelligent look I've ever received from an animal.
