Sister trees,
we are so similar
but not so same.
A look, a stretch,
a strength here
relates us.
A gap, a walk,
a tear there
distances us.
Overall, we are
sameness
rearranged so
differences glare,
create imbalance,
provide distraction;
until that one
more season
of changes
rearranges us
again,
and proves that
we are indeed,
Sisters.
